Welcome to "My Favorites", this page highlights some of my favorite websites and free software programs from across the web. Ten favorites for each category are displayed here, these are what I consider the best of each category. At the bottom of each category are links where you can find many more of my favorites.

      Thunderbird, similar to Outlook, is a full featured email client and news reader bringing your favorite websites and e-mail to your desktop for easy organization. Featuring an intelligent spam filter that learns and improves its filtering as you mark missed spam emails. Small, fast automatic updating keeps you current with security updates. Phishing protection allerts and protects you from email scams that try and trick you into handing over your personal information. Thunderbird is fully customizable with hundreds of add-ons to extend it's functionality, check out Mozilla's soon to be released Lightning plug-in for a tightly integrated calendar.

      avast! 4 Home Edition is free, full-featured antivirus package with automatic updates, real-time protection, P2P and IM shields, Web Shield and email protection.

    • TrueCrypt v4.3a

      TrueCrypt is an open source disk encryption program used to encrypt an entire hard disk partition or a storage device such as a USB thumb drive. Keep personal info safe and secure!

    • Google Picasa v2.7

      Picasa is a free photo organizer with basic edit functions, it's simple to use and gives you one-click access to publishing your photos online.

      Image Resizer is a Microsoft PowerToy for Windows XP that allows you to resize one or many images files with a simple right-click

    • Google Desktop v5.5

      Google Desktop is a free desktop search engine. With this tool you can use the power of Google to quickly find email, office files, music, images, chat history, etc. from your computer. Google Desktop is much faster and more thorough than the built in Windows Search, give this program a try and you'll never have to worry about misplacing a document again!
